Travel Industry Study Program, Faculty of Tourism, Udayana University Holds International Workshop

Denpasar, February 11, 2025 – The Travel Industry Study Program, Faculty of Tourism, Udayana University successfully held an international workshop entitled "The Publish_Ready Workshop: Navigating Scopus Journals" on February 10-11, 2025. This event took place at the Go Bali International Office Udayana and presented Associate Professor Ferry Jie, PhD, FCLIT as the main speaker.


This workshop was designed to provide insights and strategies to academics, researchers, and students in navigating the publication process in reputable journals, especially those indexed by Scopus. In the two days of the event, participants gained an in-depth understanding of scientific writing techniques that comply with international journal standards, strategies to increase publication opportunities, and tips on dealing with the review process from editors and reviewers of reputable journals.


The Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, Udayana University, Dr. I Wayan Suardana, in his remarks, said that this workshop was part of the faculty's efforts to improve the quality of research and scientific publications for academics and students. "We hope that this activity can encourage more scientific publications from Udayana University in reputable international journals, thus further strengthening our position in the global academic arena," he said.


As the main speaker, Assoc. Prof. Ferry Jie, who has extensive experience in international scientific publications, shared valuable insights on the importance of choosing the right journal, strategies for writing articles that are interesting to editors, and ethics in academic publications.


This workshop received high enthusiasm from the participants, who came from various academic backgrounds and institutions. By holding this activity, the Faculty of Tourism, Udayana University hopes to continue to encourage an increase in the number of quality publications at the international level and strengthen academic collaboration in the field of tourism and the travel industry.
