Bachelor of Tourism in Travel Industry Management Welcomes New Students at the Faculty of Tourism PKKMB Udayana University

Thursday, August 14, 2025 – The Faculty of Tourism, Udayana University, held the first day of the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB – Pengenalan Kehidupan Kampus bagi Mahasiswa Baru) Ksatria Parayana 2025 at the Widya Sabha Building, Udayana University. Carrying the theme “Revitalizing Ethics and the Role of Young Tourism Generation in Building a Dignified Academic Culture”, the event marked an important milestone for new students as they embarked on their academic journey.

PKKMB is an orientation program designed to help new students become familiar with campus life, the academic system, faculty organization, and the ethical values that will guide them throughout their studies. This program emphasizes the importance of integrity, discipline, and responsibility in shaping students into professional and cultured individuals.

The event was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, Udayana University, Dr. I Wayan Suardana, SST.Par., M.Par. In his opening remarks, he encouraged new students to quickly adapt to the campus environment, embrace the academic culture, and develop their potential to the fullest. Following this, the Bachelor Program in Tourism Travel Industry (IPW) formally welcomed its new students. The remarks were delivered by the Head of the Bachelor Program in Tourism Travel Industry, Dr. I Nyoman Sudiarta, S.E., M.Par., accompanied by the program’s lecturers. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of being active in the learning process, upholding ethics, and playing a vital role as the young generation of tourism professionals who can contribute positively both within the academic community and to the broader development of the tourism industry in Indonesia.

Through this PKKMB, it is expected that the new students of the Tourism Travel Industry Program will gain a comprehensive understanding of the faculty environment, build strong motivation to excel, and foster the spirit of becoming ethical, high-integrity, and globally competitive tourism professionals.
