History
The Travel Industry Study Program was started in the 2008/2009 academic year under the auspices of the Faculty of Tourism, Udayana University. The establishment of this study program is a response to the strategic need for professional and competent human resources in the travel industry, along with the growth of the tourism sector as a driver of national and regional development.
The operational legality of this study program was determined through the Decree of the Minister of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 2425/D/T/2008, dated July 29, 2008. Since then, the Travel Industry Study Program has continued to demonstrate its commitment to developing the quality of education, strengthening governance, and integrating science and industry practices.
In 2014, this study program received its first accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) with a rating of “B” and a score of 349, as stated in the Decree of BAN-PT Number: 003/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/S/I/2014. This achievement is the initial foundation for encouraging continuous quality improvement in various aspects.
Through various efforts to improve academic quality, strengthen industry-based curriculum, and collaborate with domestic and foreign partners, the Travel and Tourism Industry Study Program has successfully achieved Excellent Accreditation in 2024. The ranking was determined through the Decree of BAN-PT Number: 5597/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.KP/S/VIII/2024. This achievement is an acknowledgment of the quality of the implementation of superior and relevant education, and is an important foothold in realizing the vision of the Travel and Tourism Industry Study Program as a competitive, professional, independent, cultured, and internationally recognized study program in 2026.
