Collaborating with Stakeholders, IPW Study Program, Faculty of Tourism Unud Holds Curriculum Improvement Workshop

The Travel Industry Study Program (IPW), Faculty of Tourism, Udayana University, held a Curriculum Improvement Workshop which took place in BM 1 Room, Denpasar Tourism Faculty Campus, Thursday (31/3). The agenda for this workshop includes alignment of Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL), refinement of Semester Learning Plans (RPS), case studies, modules, and discussions with stakeholders and alumni.

This activity was opened by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning, Dr. I Nyoman Sukma Arida, S.Si., M.Si, and attended by lecturers of the Travel Industry Study Program as well as invited guests from association representatives such as I Putu Winastra, S.Sos. (Chairman of the Association Of The Indonesian Tour and Travel Agencies (ASITA) Bali), Marketing Inna Bali Heritage Hotel, and I Ketut Ardana, S.H. (Leadership of Bali Sinar Mentari Tour and Travel) representing the industry, there were also representatives of the alumni of the Travel Industry Study Program who were well established in their respective fields.

In his direction, Dr. I Nyoman Sukma Arida, S.Si., M.Si, stated that the Faculty of Tourism is currently improving the curriculum in each study program so that it is in line with the MBKM program and the demands of the highly dynamic world of work. “One of the MBKM menus is an internship program with strategic partners. Later the internship partner must have a Memorandum of Undersanding (MoU) and a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) with the study program and university so that it can be recognized as an achievement of Key Performance Indicators (IKU).” Said Sukma Arida.

IPW Study Program Coordinator, Dr. I Nyoman Sudiarta, SE., M. Par., also added his hopes regarding this activity. "We really hope for inputs from these stakeholders, so that we can produce graduate competencies that are in accordance with the expectations of users (employers, ed)," he added. (IS/SN)
